Gov. Otti Pledges Support As IMSU Alumni Association Holds Annual Convention In Abia (Photos)

The Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has promised to partner with the Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA) in ensuring a seamless and successful 7th Annual Convention in Umuahia, the capital of the state.

He made this promise while receiving in audience both members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of IMSUAA led by Barr Okey Ozumba and Local Organizing Committee for the convention at Nvosi, his country home.

According to Governor Otti, alumni associations all over the world play a major role in assisting and developing their alma mater, adding that the caliber of persons piloting the association indicates that IMSU graduates all over the globe are proud to be part of the group, a statement signed by the Association’s National Publicity Secretary, Ikenna Onuoha says.

While assuring his guests of his government’s sincere efforts to assist the association host a seamless annual convention, Governor Otti therefore reiterated his administration’s resolve to guarantee security of lives and properties before, during and after the convention.

In his words, “Abia is a peaceful state, we shall do everything possible to guarantee your safety. Regrettably, our state does not have any five star hotel for now but our administration is making frantic efforts to realize that. Due to the absence of the five star hotel in Abia, but in a few years from now, all these things would have been put in place. So, on that note, I appeal to you to renominate Abia again as a hosting state after the 2024 convention in Umuahia”
