Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed sadness over the death of the member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ossy Prestige.
The Governor described the lawmaker’s death as shocking and extremely depressing.
According to the Governor, “Late Hon. Prestige was a very passionate politician who saw his position as a call to the service of the people. As a Federal Legislator, he was deeply committed to his job and provided solid representation to the people of Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency. His death at a time like this when the rebuilding of Aba is on the front burner is very sad indeed”.

Governor Ikpeazu in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka further describes Hon. Prestige as a very accommodating politician who never allowed differences in political platforms and ideologies to come between him and any person.
“I enjoyed his consistent support as Governor in my efforts in repositioning Aba and I feel a deep sense of personal loss at his death”.
Continuing, the Governor said, “this very unfortunate incident should act as a reminder to all of us that life is ephemeral and must be lived with the understanding that death could knock on our doors at any time. This reality must guide every of our actions, especially for those of us in the political class”.
Governor Ikpeazu sends his deep condolences to the family of the Late Honorable, his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and the good people of Aba North /Aba South Federal Constituency.
