Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has charged newly married couples to always build their marriage on mutual trust, respect and understanding.
Governor Ikpeazu who was the Chairman at the wedding ceremony between Miss Oroma and Mr Chiemeka Orji, son of the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Chief T.A. Orji held at the BCA Event field, Umuahia, described marriage as a noble venture and expressed confidence in the ability of the couple to manage their new home without any external influence. He thereafter wished them the full blessings of God as stipulated in Proverbs 22.
The Governor assured the newlyweds that God will definitely perfect all He has started in their lives as He does not abandon his Projects.
Governor Ikpeazu prayed God to strengthen them and make their home a living example worthy of emulation.
In a vote of thanks, the groom, Mr Chiemeka Orji thanked all who came to identify with them and prayed God to reward them while pledging to take good care of his wife.
The event also attracted the presence of the Governor of Enugu State, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Deputy Governor of Abia Sir Ude Okochukwu, the deputy Governor of Imo state, Professor Placid Njoku, parents of the groom, Senator T.A. Orji and his wife, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Minister of State for mines and steel, Dr Uche Ogah, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and elder brother to the groom, Chief Chinedum Orji, Members of the National and State Assembly, serving and Forner top government officials, captains of Industries, traditional rulers, the clergy among other dignitaries.
