Governor Yahaya Bello on Thursday swore in Justice Richard.O. Olorunfemi as the fifth Chief Judge of Kogi State.
The Governor, at the swearing in ceremony admonished Justice Olorunfemi, to uphold the dispensation of justice without fear or favour.
Bello also swore in Justice Siyaka Momoh Jimoh Usman as the President, Customary Court of Appeal.
Justice Richard.O. Olorunfemi was administered the oath of office at exactly 10:58am while Justice Siyaka Momoh Jimoh Usman took his turn at 11:15am after a brief citation of the Justices was read by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike.
Performing the swearing ceremony at the Glass House of Kogi State Government House, Gov. Yahaya Bello charged the newly sworn in officers to uphold the highest level of decorum, and ensure quick dispensation of justice.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, assured that the State Government will continue to ensure that the welfare of the judiciary is made a topmost priority.
Gov. Bello described the judiciary as an equal arm in government and administration.
He assured that his administration will not interfere in the discharge of the duties of the judiciary arm of government.
While urging them to bring their considerable history to bear in providing excellent leadership, Bello charged the newly sworn in justices to discharge their duties with the fear of God, assuring them of a worthy partnership that will make the newly sworn in officers excel in their new assignment.
In his remarks, Olorunfemi who spoke on behalf of the newly sworn in justices, assured of their utmost discharge to the quick dispensation of justice.
Recall that Kogi State has within the last 14 months sworn in three Chief Judges after the demise of Justice Nasiru Ajanah.
