Glorious Exit: Madam Oyidiya Onwuka Set For Burial At Ebem Ohafia This Week [SEE POSTER]

The family of Late Teacher Michael Onwuka Ume Ezera and the entire Umuannnechi family of Ebem Ohafia, Abia State, have announced the burial of their beloved matriarch, Madam Oyidiya Onwuka (née Afor Ojiabuo Uduma), who passed on peacefully at the age of 88.

According to a statement signed by Elder Charles Ezera, the funeral rites will commence on Thursday, November 13, 2025, with a Service of Songs in her honour at her residence by 5:00 p.m.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, her remains will leave Mben Mortuary by 8:00 a.m., with brief stops at her husband’s residence and Ndi Inyima compound before lying in state at her residence by 9:00 a.m. This will be followed by an open-air funeral service conducted by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Solid Rock Parish, Uzorufu, at the Ebem Customary Court Premises, Ebem Ohafia, starting at 10:00 a.m.

A Thanksgiving Service will hold on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Solid Rock Parish, Uzorufu, Ebem, where family and friends will gather to thank God for a life well spent.

Madam Oyidiya Onwuka, described as a virtuous, God-fearing woman who lived a life of humility, love, and service to God and humanity, is survived by her children, brothers, sisters, in-laws, and grandchildren.
