”Galatasaray Forever In My Heart” – Osimhen Declares

Victor Osimhen has stated that Galatasaray will always hold a special place in his heart as he gets ready to leave the Turkish team at the end of the 2024/25 season after his loan stint from Napoli.

The prolific forward, who recently scored his 17th goal of 2025 to move joint-third with Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres among Europe’s top marksmen this calendar year, made the emotional statement in a recent interview with NTV.

“There are always rumours about me, but I live in the moment,” Osimhen said.

“I’m enjoying all of this. The fans have supported me incredibly. Not just me, but my teammates and family, too. The best decision for everyone will be made. But Galatasaray will always remain in my heart.”

The 25-year-old joined the Turkish giants on loan after a big-money move away from Napoli collapsed dramatically on deadline day last summer. He signed a contract extension with the Italian club before his temporary switch, giving Napoli leverage in future transfer negotiations.

Osimhen has been in spectacular form during his time in Turkey, netting 29 goals and providing five assists across all competitions this season. His contributions have been vital to Galatasaray’s title push, with 21 goals in the Turkish Super Lig alone.

Meanwhile, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has categorically ruled out the possibility of Osimhen joining Serie A rivals Juventus this summer.

According to reports from Radio Kiss Kiss, De Laurentiis stated he would “never” negotiate with Juventus for the Nigerian striker, particularly with interest from Premier League clubs, France, and Saudi Arabia.

The striker has a release clause worth €75m for clubs outside Italy, but Serie A teams would need to negotiate directly with Napoli and likely pay a premium to secure his services.

Former Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi recently expressed hope that Osimhen doesn’t move to Saudi Arabia and that Chelsea doesn’t miss out on signing him again.

“I hope he doesn’t go there,” Mikel said on his Obi One Podcast.

“That was my fight, that was my conversation with him in the summer. I told the kid, ‘Don’t go’. Saudi is always going to be there. Come here, come to us (Chelsea), they will still be spending, come to us for three or four seasons.”

As speculation about his future intensifies, Osimhen continues to showcase his goal-scoring prowess on the pitch, recently finding the net against Samsunspor in Galatasaray’s push to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.
