The military junta in Gabon also detained the son of the deposed President Ali Bongo in a coup on Wednesday, according to Alarabiya News.
Recall that on Wednesday, Gabonese Senior Military officers overthrew Ali Bongo, who was recently re-elected for a third term.
The report said Bongo’s son was arrested for treason.
The military had earlier announced that President Ali Bongo was under house arrest, surrounded by his family and doctors.
