Two years after a fuel tanker somersaulted and spilled its content in Ebem Ohafia Abia State, similar accident on Saturday took place at same spot of UDDY King Filling Station.
Mr Kalu Nnaoke who spoke with ABN TV said the tanker parked to discharge product at the petrol station but suddenly started moving on despite the wedge put on the tires, and descended across the road without the driver in it.
Fortunately, it did not spill its content and no life was lost even as efforts are ongoing to cordon off the affected road for vehicles to use alternative routes.
As at the moment of this report, the product was being offloaded in the underground tank of the filling state with a hose.
Also speaking with the Publicity Secretary of Ebem Ohafia Development Union, Mr Ifeanyi Okali said that a similar incident that happened two years ago is still a talk of the town as the community holds the annual thanksgiving tagged Ebem Day to celebrate non casualty in the 2020 incident.
