A non-governmental organisation, Franklyn Junior Foundation (FJFUSA) has empowered now fewer than 615 farmers in Abia community with cash grant, inorganic fertilizer and seedlings for cultivation this farming season.
The empowerment held in Ibina Ukwu Autonomous Community, Ohafia Local Government Area is in partnership with the Abia State Ministry of Agriculture.
The two-day programme which from from 15th to 16th March 2024 had widows, youths and peasant farmers as beneficiaries.
The Foundation also held a training programme for the beneficiaries on how to make good use of the items for optimal productivity.
The programme had as the theme, “Operation Feed Your Family in 2024″.
