Shad Gaspard, a former WWE star, has been found dead, a few days after he was caught in a riptide while swimming with his son on Venice Beach in Los Angeles. He was 39.
According to UK Guardian, the Los Angeles police, in a statement, said patrol officers were flagged down in the early hours of Wednesday by a passerby who spotted a body that was washed ashore.
The body would later be identified as that of the former WWE Star and Actor, and the next of kin was notified.
“The decedent was identified as Shad Gaspard and next of kin was notified,” the statement read.

Gaspard went missing on Sunday after he went swimming with Aryeh, his 10-year-old son.
After the strong current had crashed over him, Aryeh was rescued without requiring hospitalization as other swimmers made it out of the water safely.
“When last seen by the lifeguard, a wave had crashed over Mr Shad Gaspard and he was swept out to sea,” the police statement added.
Gaspard had gained prominence in the WWE as one half of the tag-team group Cryme Time, along with JTG, his partner.
He would later retire from the WWE in 2010 while still taking TV and movie roles, including ‘Get Hard’, the 2015 Kevin Hart comedy.
“We express gratitude to the first responders who rescued Aryeh and to the lifeguards, coast guard, divers, fire and police departments for their continued efforts,” said Siliana, his wife.
