Former Liverpool Striker, Roger Hunt Is Dead

Former Liverpool and England striker, Roger Hunt is dead.

Hunt died at the age of 83.

Liverpool disclosed this in a statement via their website on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League clash with FC Porto.

“We are mourning the passing of legendary former player Roger Hunt,” Liverpool’s statement read.

“The thoughts of everybody at Liverpool Football Club are with Roger’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time.”

Hunt is Liverpool’s record league scorer with 244 goals.

He was part of England’s 1966 World Cup-winning side.
