Former GM Umuahia Capital Development Authority, Nwokonta Dies In Auto Crash

The immediate past General Manager of the Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA), Abia state, Chief Enyinnaya Nwokonta had died, ABN TV reports.

He died in a ghastly road accident involving his private vehicle while on his way to Umuahia in the early hours of Monday.

Popularly known as Pocket, he was said to have had a head-on collision with an articulated vehicle, popularly known as a trailer.

He was reportedly crushed on the spot.

He was among officials of the Abia State government who was relieved of their appointments recently.

ABN TV reports that he handed over the affairs of the agency to the most senior staff in compliance with the directive of the Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti few weeks ago.

His body has since been evacuated from the accident scene.
