Niger-boat-accident
A boat capsized along the well-known Bennett Island River in Delta State’s Warri South Local Government Area, resulting in the confirmed deaths of five people.
PUNCH Online gathered on Tuesday that the accident occurred on Monday night.
The state police public relations officer, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday in Asaba, the state capital, said that one person is still missing.
He said, “There was a boat accident along the Bennett Island River in Warri South.
“Five persons were found dead, six injured, and still receiving treatment.
“Nineteen persons were rescued from the scene, while one is still missing.”
