The First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari is in the Senate Chambers.
Mrs Buhari’s visit to the Chambers is historical as she appears to be the first wife of a President to be received into the Senate Chambers.
She is in the Senate chambers to witness the laying of the report of the Senate Constitution Review Committee.
The Senate deferred the submission of the report to a later time during the proceedings to allow Mrs Buhari to arrive.
The First Lady is accompanied on the visit by the Minister of Women Affairs Mrs Pullen Tallen; Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, and some of her personal aides.
