An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity told ABN TV that the fire emanated from a shop where diesel and other petroleum products were stored by a roadside vendor.
He said the unnamed petrol dealer had unknowingly took candlelight to one of the shops where the petroleum products were stored, leading to a fire outbreak.
Our source said all the cars parked in a nearby mechanic workshop, as well as nearby shops, were all affected.
ABN TV gathered that at least one person was seriously injured resulting from the burn.
As at the moment of this report, men of the state Fire Service were yet to arrive the scene.
