The legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has reported that Kanu had an “episode” of a nosebleed on Sunday.
This is believed to have raised apprehension among members of IPOB in the country and beyond.
Aloy Ejimakor, Nnamdi Kanu’s special counsel also said his client has complained that a detainee with tuberculosis has been transferred to his cell block, quoting his associate Barr Mandela who visited Kanu on Sunday.

Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) on reasonable since 2021 after his extraordinary rendition from Kenya.
He was reported that have vomited several times last week.
His family and legal team have repeatedly urged the government to release him for proper medical attention, an appeal that has been rejected consistently.
Ejimakor wrote, “Today, my associate, Barr Mandela met with Onyendu #MNK at the DSS. He reports that MNK directed me to make it public that he had an episode of profuse nose-bleed yesterday & that the DSS has transferred a detainee diagnosed with tuberculosis to his cell block. This is ominous.”
