Indications have emerged that opposition political parties jostling to produce the next House of Representatives member for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State have been gripped in fear as the APC candidate, High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke has secured fresh endorsements ahead of the Feb. 25 National Assembly election.
The latest is coming from Arochukwu Traditional Rulers, Arochukwu Bright Royal Friends, and Arochukwu women who have all openly indicated their support for Chief Okeke.
A release by High Chief Okeke’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Oti Maduabuchi Orieji said the groups endorsed the APC House of Representatives Candidate during his unannounced appearance at their separate events.
Speaking at the meeting with Chief Okeke, Arochukwu traditional rulers said High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke has been of immense benefit to both the indigenes and non-indigenes of Arochukwu LGA, therefore, has their support come the 2023 poll.
The release added, “The Arochukwu women described Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke as a progressive leader and a renowned philanthropist of great repute. They also stated that this is not the time to vote base on sentiment but the time to vote for competence, credibility and capability. They said, “You have our support anytime any day, be rest assured the Arochukwu Women are with you all the time.”
“The Arochukwu Bright Royal Friends expressed great joy as they met with High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke, they appreciated him for all his philanthropic activities across the state and assured him of their unalloyed support in the 2023 poll.
“While Pledging his support to the groups, High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke promised to sponsor and support laws that will positively impact both indigenes and non-indigenes of the state when elected
“The incoming Federal House member also promise not to take any of them for granted and that he would not betray the trust they have in him.”
