Ex-NASS Member, Sam Onuigbo Eulogises Only Brother As He Goes Home (Photos, Video)

A former National Assembly member who represented Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency of Abia State in the 9th House of Representatives, Hon. Sam Onuigbo has paid tribute to his only brother, Elder Chief Lawrence Mgbeonyerem Onuigbo-Oriaku who was committed to the mother earth at the weekend.

He passed away at the age of 73 and was buried in his country home, Obi-Ibere Community in Ikwuano Abia State.

Speaking with ABN TV shortly after the burial on Saturday, he described his late elder brother as a very focused, intelligent and hardworking person who spent years training himself in different facets of life.

Before his death, Elder Onuigbo-Oriaku worked in notable organizations, including the oil company before his appointment by Abia State government into the state Judicial Service Commission where he served as a judge in the customary court.

Onuigbo, a member of North East Development Commission board representing South East also expressed sadness that his brother whom he further described as a peaceful man died at this time.

He expressed gratitude for the clement weather that allowed the funeral service take place successfully.

On the state of Ikwuano-Umuahia-Ikot-Ekpene road, the former lawmaker expressed satisfaction that it has a new face that allows motorists to pass seamlessly.

Onuigbo who first moved a motion on the road in 2016 thanked former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola for his efforts in bringing succour to the users of the road.

Uchechukwu Samson Ogah, Member Representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency Hon. Obi Aguocha, Ikwuano House of Assembly member Hon. Boniface Isienyi, Nollywood Actor Kanayo O Kanayo Ndi-Eze and other distinguished individuals.
