EPL: Man Utd Set Deadline To Complete Mason Mount Deal From Chelsea

Manchester United has set a deadline for signing Chelsea’s Mason Mount this summer.

Man United’s initial proposal of £40 million for Mount was rejected last week, and an upgraded offer of £45 million plus £5 million in add-ons was also rejected on Wednesday.

Mount is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea, and Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has identified him as a major summer transfer target.

Man United are said to have made a breakthrough in negotiations with Chelsea and are close to sealing a £60 million deal for the former Derby County player.

However, the Red Devils want the transfer to be completed as soon as possible and have set a deadline for the end of next week, according to Metro UK.

Despite agreeing personal terms with the player, Manchester United is preparing to submit a third proposal for the England midfielder and has told Chelsea that they ‘won’t keep negotiating for too long.
