Casemiro
Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United, was dismissed during the team’s 0-0 Premier League match with Southampton on Sunday and will now face a four-game suspension.
In the opening period of Man United’s scoreless draw with Southampton at Old Trafford, Casemiro was dismissed for a challenge on Carlos Alcaraz.
The Brazilian player was first issued a yellow card by referee Anthony Taylor. But he changed it to a red card after witnessing the incident on the VAR monitor.
In the Premier League so far this year, Casemiro has already been dismissed after receiving a red card on February 4 during a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace.
The former Real Madrid player, who has contributed to Man United’s midfield, will thus receive a three-game suspension and miss an additional game due to his prior red card.
Casemiro will now be absent from Man United’s FA Cup match against Fulham on March 19.
Also, the 31-year-old will not be available for Man United’s Premier League games against Brentford, Everton, and Newcastle United, respectively.
He will probably make a comeback for Erik ten Hag’s team, though, when they take on Nottingham Forest on April 15 in a Premier League match.
