AC Milan striker, Olivier Giroud, has urged former Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard, to accept the Newcastle United job promptly should the opportunity arise.
Giroud feels it would be the perfect chance for his former coach, Lampard, to ‘bounce back’ and prove his ‘quality’.
Lampard is in a pole position to replace Steve Bruce as Newcastle manager.
Bruce is expected to be relieved of his duties after Newcastle United was taken over by Saudis last week.

Asked whether Lampard would be a good fit at Newcastle, Giroud told talkSPORT: “Yeah, definitely.
“I talked to him a little bit last year and I think he’s looking forward to a good challenge to come back as a manager. And I think it is definitely a good option for him.
“I believe Newcastle is a big team in the Premier League and it’s a good challenge for him to bounce back and show his quality, definitely.”
