Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, a former governor of Enugu State, has lost his re-election campaign to the Senate.
According to ABN TV, he was defeated by Labour Party candidate Sir Kelvin Chukwu.
The LP candidate received 69, 136 votes, outnumbering Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who received 48, 701 votes.
Kelvin took over for his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was assassinated just days before the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25.
