#EndSARS: Youths Doing What My Generation Failed To Do — CEO Godfather Production

A leading music producer in Nigeria, Uchenna Ogoke, the CEO Godfather Production has applauded the ongoing #EndSARS protest across the country.

He said the agitations are necessary to bring about a positive change, adding that change is constant in society and urgently needed in Nigeria.

While faulting his generation of youth for failure to act, he insisted that that was when the desire for change started which his generation failed to respond to.

“How can we have a population of over 200 million people with youths constituting over 70 per cent of the population, coupled with the amount of unemployment and you tell me you are happy. Meanwhile, someone sits one place, goes to work and earning billions and the youths are not getting anything but sitting at home idle.

“We know the future is in the hand of the youths, so I am in total support of what the youths are agitating. I’m in total support of what they are doing and it couldn’t have come at a better time than now. The youths have risen to their feet to cut out what their future should look like” he said.

He said the time has come for a holistic look into the welfare of the police to enhance effective performance.

He also berated the IGP of Police, Mohammed Adamu for merely renaming SARS to SWAT, describing it as just recycling.

According to Mr. Ogoke, there is a need to reevaluate the processes that brought the country to its current state especially in terms of ineffective policing system.

He called for the reorientation of police officers across the country for a more citizen-friendly police and secured society.
