Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said journalists and others on essential duty are exempted from the curfew imposed on the state.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, made available to ABN TV, others exempted from the curfew are medical personnel, security agents, men of fire service and other paramilitary organizations
“Kindly note that workers on essential duties including medical personnel, journalists, security agents, men of fire service and other paramilitary organizations are exempted from the prevailing curfew in the state.
“Security agents enforcing the curfew are advised to permit them to move unhindered upon proper identification,” he said.
