#EndSARS: Go For Confession, Submit To Security Agents Now – Abia Revenue Consultant Tells Looters

A Revenue Consultant to Abia state government, Ubah Chiemezuo has called on individuals who took advantage of the #EndSARS protests to loot public and private property to go for confession and submit themselves to security agencies.

While expressing appreciation to organizers of the #EndSARS movement for their doggedness and resilience, he urged them to observe gradually the action of the government in line with their demand list.

In interaction with ABN TV, he urges them not to get deterred, adding that he as a youth feels the pain of the #EndSARS organizers.

“My message to the looters is, any man who seizes any opportunity to mar or manhandle another man has his reward waiting for him. Any man who uses the opportunity of whatever good people are doing to implement bad, same reward is waiting for him.

“They better go and confess first of all to God and also to humanity, because there wouldn’t have been killings if hoodlums did not hijack this peaceful protest and process.

While urging the state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu to continue in his style of empowerment, he further appealed to him to pay more attention to the development of the grassroots dwellers and create an adequate impact assessment mechanism to ascertain the success of empowerment programmes.

Mr Chiemezuo also expressed gratitude that the inland generated revenue of the state, expressing dissatisfaction that the outbreak of COVID-19 has affected the state’s revenue flow.

He expressed optimism that with the technology being deployed by the state’s internal consultants and Chairman Board of Internal Revenue in the state, the IGR will experience a significant boost again.
