Elon Musk’s Twitter Is Down!

Thousands of people have complained that Elon Musk’s social networking site has stopped working, preventing them from sending tweets or searching the site.

Elon Musk’s Twitter platform appeared to break on Saturday morning, causing millions of users to panic as they were unable to search the site.

Users claimed that the platform was not displaying tweets, with many only seeing posts from Friday evening.

The issue informed users that their ‘rate limit’ had been surpassed or that the site ‘could not retrieve tweets,’ prompting many to criticize Musk’s handling of the site as the latest of multiple huge glitches to occur under his reign.

The cause of the crash was not immediately obvious, but it occurred less than a day after Musk boasted on his website about record-high numbers.

‘This platform reached an all-time high in user seconds last week,’ he tweeted just 15 hours before the platform crashed.

Twitter had a significant rise in outages at about 8 a.m. Eastern Time Saturday, according to online traffic tracker Down Detector.

Users swarmed the tracker site with complaints about the inconvenient glitch, with many blaming Musk.

Almost half of those who reported troubles with the site said it happened on the mobile version, while 39 percent said it happened on the app and 18 percent said it happened on the feed.

Prior to the catastrophe, the billionaire claimed that the site was experiencing unanticipated challenges Friday despite record traffic figures, prompting him to take ‘dramatic and immediate’ measures.

Because AI businesses were performing ‘high amounts’ of data cleansing, users were momentarily barred from seeing tweets without logging in.

As he addressed the matter on Friday, Musk dug down on his divisive campaign to promote user authentication, tweeting: ‘Any social media firms that allow unauthenticated access will become bot-strewn hellscapes as soon as they become relevant.’

It comes after the platform experienced turmoil in the aftermath of Musk’s $44 billion takeover last year.

Some shareholders were allegedly concerned about Musk’s long-term future as CEO, prompting Musk to step aside and appoint media executive Linda Yaccarino to the position in May.

Musk has faced criticism for moves he made prior to hiring Yaccarino, such as the removal of blue-check verification for users who do not pay $8 per month for Twitter Blue.

Musk laid off a substantial number of his employees in the months following his acquisition of the platform, as he sought to reduce staff and improve the site’s efficiency.
