Elon Musk Vs Mark Zuckerberg’s Fight Scheduled At Epic Location In Rome

Elon Musk has also intimated that his battle with Mark Zuckerberg will occur at the Colosseum in Rome.

After previously tweeting ‘Gladiator’ alongside two sword emojis, the owner of the X – formerly known as Twitter – tweeted Friday morning that a location had been agreed upon.

‘The fight will be administered by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC),’ Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter.

‘Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in the camera frame will be in ancient Rome, so nothing modern.

‘I spoke to the PM of Italy and the Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.’

While Musk’s Gladiator remark may allude to the Colosseum, the Ridley Scott-produced classic was shot at a replica in Malta.

Musk, who has become something of a people’s hero since assuming control of Twitter, told X followers that ‘anything done would pay respect to the past and present of Italy.’

What about the profit? The South African claims that ‘all earnings go to veterans.’

Naturally, there is a business component to the fight, with Musk announcing that Twitter Blue subscribers, or those who follow his profile, will receive ‘extra’ behind-the-scenes video.

Although Las Vegas was initially mentioned as a possible destination for a fantasy duel between Facebook billionaire Zuckerberg and X [previously Twitter] CEO Musk, sources in June suggested that the Colosseum may be an option.

According to TMZ, the Italian Minister of Culture approached Zuckerberg about staging his clash with Musk at Rome’s renowned battleground, with the latter also tweeting: ‘Some chance fight happens in Colosseum.’

The possibility appears to be increasing.

The Colosseum in Rome, one of the world’s seven wonders, is Italy’s most renowned landmark, although it has not welcomed large crowds for hundreds of years.

The roughly 2,000-year-old amphitheater can barely accommodate a few hundred spectators on makeshift seating inside.

The planned date of a prospective showdown between the two social media titans has been disputed, with both parties listing August 26 as a feasible alternative.

Musk, on the other hand, said on Sunday that he would get an MRI on an injury.

‘The exact date is still being worked out. [Monday] I’ll have an MRI of my neck and upper back. Surgery may be required before the fight can take place. We’ll find out this week.’
