Election Results: Do Not Set Nigeria On Fire – Fani-Kayode Warns

Femi Fani-Kayode, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress, has warned politicians against inciting violence over the outcome of Saturday’s presidential election.

Dino Melaye, a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential campaign, had raised the alarm, alleging that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was attempting to rig the election.

Attempts to tamper with the results, according to Dino, will result in war.

This comes amid reports that the ruling party is on the verge of victory.

While the PDP and other opposition parties are accusing INEC of rigging, FFK said in a tweet that INEC had done nothing wrong.

He wrote, “INEC has done no wrong. Those that are threatening fire because they lost must reign in their tongues, accept defeat & stop their threats.”

“Do not set Nigeria on fire, do not provoke us, do not ignite a war & do not start something you cannot finish. WE WILL DEFEND OUR MANDATE”.
