Elder Okey Ndukwe, the Managing Director and CEO of Capel Group, has strongly condemned the recent attack on De Latinos Concept by some officers of the Abia State Police Command.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday and made available to ABN TV, Ndukwe described the invasion, which occurred on Sunday, March 9, as an unfortunate incident that led to injuries to innocent citizens and the destruction of property.
“As an investor deeply committed to the progress of Abia State, I unequivocally condemn this act of aggression, violence, and intimidation directed at the people of Abia,” he stated. He further emphasized the need to uphold the state’s reputation for peace and tranquility, which Governor Alex Otti has worked tirelessly to maintain as part of efforts to position Abia as a leading investment hub.
Ndukwe commended the swift response from the Abia State Government and the State Commissioner of Police, acknowledging their efforts in ensuring justice for the victims. He stressed the importance of holding those responsible accountable to restore public confidence in law enforcement agencies.
Reaffirming his commitment to Abia’s development, Ndukwe assured residents that the attack would not deter business growth in the state. “We will not be distracted or discouraged from building business institutions that contribute to the development and prosperity of our state. Together, we will continue to work towards a brighter future for all Abians,” he concluded.
