The Commandant, Nigeria Security, and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kaduna Command, CC Idris Yahaya Adah, on Monday, ordered the deployment of 2,500 personnel across the 23 local government areas of the State to protect lives, property, and critical national assets before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Habeeb Badamsi, he said CC Adah further directed security beefed up in various worship centres to ensure a hitch-free celebration across the state.
Adah added that there is an ongoing 24-hour patrol by officers and men of the command across the state to guard against miscreants and other criminal elements who may take advantage of the celebrations to disrupt the peaceful coexistence in the state.
“I have also, directed all area commanders, Divisional Officers, and Outposts across the 23 Local government areas of the state to ensure hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in their various local government areas,” Adah said.
The state helmsman further advised residents to always cooperate with the security agents in the state by reporting any suspicious movement or suspected criminals within their environment for urgent arrest and prosecution.
