Jigawa state Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has urged Muslims to carry forward the spirit of giving, empathy, and compassion.
The Governor made the call in his Eid-el-Fitr message to the citizens and Muslims in general.
According to the statement, “As we mark the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr 1445 AH, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the people of Jigawa State.
“This sacred day, which signifies the completion of Ramadan, is a time of joy, reflection, and communal harmony.
“I call upon the well-to-do in our society to continue their noble acts of kindness and generosity towards the less fortunate, just as we have practiced during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Let us carry forward the spirit of giving, empathy, and compassion throughout the year, for in helping others, we uplift our entire community”
“Furthermore, I urge all citizens of Jigawa State and Nigeria at large to join hands in prayer for our beloved state and nation.
“Let us pray for economic recovery and significant improvements in our national security. Our collective prayers and efforts are essential in navigating the challenges we face and in forging a path towards prosperity and peace.
“May this Eid bring abundant joy, health, and prosperity to you and your families.
“Let us remember the true essence of this day and strive towards unity, peace, and progress for Jigawa State and our great nation, Nigeria.”
