Frank Mba
On Thursday, acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun appointed Frank Mba and Bala Ciroma as deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIG).
Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo, joined Egbetokun.
The ceremony was held at the force headquarters in Abuja.
Mba will be the DIG for the southeast geopolitical zone, while Croma will be the police management team’s representative for the northeast.
The appointments of Mba and Ciroma were accepted by the police service commission (PSC) last week.
Mba received his promotion three months after being promoted to the position of assistant inspector-general of police (AIG).
According to the PSC, Mba was elevated because he is the most senior police officer in the country’s southeast zone.
