EFCC Quizzes Ex-women Affairs Minister Tallen

Mrs. Pauline Tallen, former Minister of Women Affairs, was questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday about the alleged fraud.

According to a source close to the commission, the ex-minister, who appeared at the Commission’s Abuja Zonal Command on invitation at 12 pm, was still being probed by Commission investigators until late Friday night.

Though the allegations against the ex-minister were vague, a source acquainted with the investigation said it involved suspected illicit enrichment to the tune of N2 billion.

A portion of the funds is said to have been taken from the African First Lady Peace Mission Project.
