The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Tuesday confirmed a fire outbreak at its exhibit dump located in Iriebi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Monday, March 14, 2022.
The agency’s Head, Media & Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed this in a release on Tuesday, saying the incident happened in the early hours of Monday.

According to the anti graft agency, the fire outbreak affected most of the trucks parked in the facility before it was put out by men of the Federal Fire Service.
The statement says the Secretary to the Commission, Dr. George Ekpungu, on Tuesday visited the scene of the incident with an assurance that investigation had commenced determining the cause of the inferno.
He further revealed that measures will be put in place to safeguard all exhibit dumps across the country.
