The Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ancient Kingdom, in Ohafia local government area of Abia State, HRH, Ezie Ogo Ukoha Kalu Ukoha has urged the people of the community to love one another and live in unity, saying this is the only way the community can move forward.
The Royal Father spoke on Friday at the 2022 annual Ebem thanksgiving day which took place at Abum Square Ekeluogo Ebem.
He urged the community to continually observe thanksgiving, noting that it is a compulsory exercise Christians should undertake to attract God’s blessings and protection.
In his address titled, “Love Thy Neighbour As Thy Self”, Ezie Ukoha Kalu said the annual Ebem Thanksgiving ceremony offers Ebem the opportunity to individually and collectively do a self soul searching exercise.
He charged them to go back to the teaching of love by Christ to be their brother’s keepers and turn away from all the negative attitudes that can impede the development and growth of Ebem.
“Today, I shed tears that instead of improving in our relationship with our neighbours, the situation is worsening by the day. The uncommon frequency of increase in the volume of litigation in Ebem makes me feel that Love has taken flight from our community”, the Royal Father decried.
He appealed to parents, schools, the church, and the community as a whole, to rise to the occasion and inculcate the spirit of love and peace among its people.
HRH, Ezieogo Ebem used the occasion to thank God for His mercies, grace, and blessings upon Ebem.
