The Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Highness Ezie Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP), has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Ebem Ohafia, dignitaries, and well-wishers following the successful celebration of his 89th birthday anniversary and related festivities.
In a heartfelt appreciation message, the revered monarch thanked sons and daughters of Ebem Ohafia, traditional rulers, political leaders, security chiefs, and guests from within and outside the community for their overwhelming show of love and support.
The royal father disclosed that the celebrations, which began about eight days before April 12, 2026, were a demonstration of the deep affection the people have for their King, noting that such gestures reaffirm the strong bond between the throne and the community.
“I sincerely thank the Almighty God for His love, protection, provision, and guidance which made these celebrations peaceful, exciting, and memorable,” the monarch stated.
He specifically appreciated the Mayor of Ohafia Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, for his consistent support, as well as fellow traditional rulers who attended and stood by him throughout the event.
The monarch also commended the presence and contributions of security agencies, including the Brigade Commander of the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia, the Area Commander, and the Divisional Police Officer, for ensuring a peaceful and secure celebration.
HRH Ezie Ukoha further extended his gratitude to individuals who sent goodwill messages and gifts, as well as recipients of chieftaincy titles who showed appreciation for the honour bestowed on them.
He lauded cultural groups for their disciplined and colourful performances, and acknowledged numerous well-wishers who attended the event in solidarity.
The royal father also appreciated members of the National and State Assemblies, including Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa and Hon. Chief Kalu Mba Nwoke, for their presence despite their busy schedules.
Reaffirming his commitment to the growth of the community, the monarch called on stakeholders to continue supporting efforts aimed at making Ebem Ohafia an oasis of peace, love, and prosperity.
He concluded by offering prayers for all supporters and benefactors of the royal family, asking God to reward them with good health, peace, and abundant blessings.
The celebration, which attracted dignitaries from across Abia State and beyond, further highlighted the unity, cultural richness, and strong communal spirit of the Ebem Ohafia people.
