Easter: We Must Rise Above Our Challenges, Manifest Love, Unity — Chief Dan Okeke Urges

A chieftain of APC in Abia State, Chief Dan Okeke has congratulated the people of the State and country at large at this year celebration of Easter, feast of the remembrance of the death and resurrection of Christ, calling for love and unity among the religious divides.

According to Chief Okeke, Christ’s message on earth was anchored on love, unity and peaceful co-existence, maintaining that true celebration of Easter can only take place where these abound.

In a message to the Christian community, personally endorsed by him and made available to ABN TV on Friday, Chief Okeke called on the people of the State and country at large to rise above parochial interests and join hands in moving the nation forward.

He noted that though Nigeria is currently battling challenges especially in the area of security and economy, there are legions of blessings which God has bestowed on the nation which he said calls for praise and thanksgiving.

While noting that Nigeria is a project in progress, he urged Christians to use the opportunity presented by the occasion of this Easter celebration to re-commit the country to Throne of Grace for divine intervention.

Chief Okeke while stating that love and unity are the bedrock of national development and peaceful co-existence, insisted that patriotism should rule over partisan interest to take the country to where it ought to be.
