Easter: Dr. Maduekwe Congratulates Abians, Calls For Love, Prayers For Nigeria

The Managing Director National Films Corporation, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe has felicitated with the people of Abia and Nigerians as the Christian fold marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter.

According to Dr. Maduekwe, Nigeria is one of the most blessed countries of the world, adding that the nation has soared in God’s abundant love and grace.

In a congratulatory message on Friday, Dr. Maduekwe said the outbreak of COVID-19 again provided an opportunity for God to manifestly show His love to the country when He shielded it from massive death as recorded in other parts of the world.

While acknowledging that the country is passing through challenges just like many other countries, Dr. Maduekwe noted that prayer, patriotism and love for country will be the only pathway towards solution.

Easter is a period to soberly reflect on the unconditional love God showed the world when He gave Christ, His only son to die for a sinful world.

“That love has over the decades remained undiluted. There is no better way to appreciate this grace but to love our neighbors, our country and pray for its success. We must therefore imbibe patriotism and heart of love.

“Growth does not take place in an atmosphere of rancour and palpable hate. Irrespective of our political and ethnic differences, it takes a collective effort to build a country.

“I congratulate Abians, I congratulate the people of Nigeria. God willing, this Easter shall launch our state and nation to a new beginning for the greater good of our people” he said.
