DSS Bows To Pressure, Grants Nnamdi Kanu’s Family, Lawyers, Others Access

The Department of State Services (DSS) has finally allowed family members, legal representatives, and other associates to visit the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, after previously denying their request.

ABN TV report that a legal team, led by Barrister Aloy Ejimakor and including Prince Emma Kanu (Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother), Hon. Obinna Ichita (a former member of the Abia State House of Assembly), and another individual, successfully concluded their visit today.

According to reports, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains resolute despite his prolonged detention. During the meeting, it was agreed that last Wednesday’s aborted visitation should be put behind them, though a firm stance was taken that such a denial should not happen again.

The DSS had previously blocked an earlier attempt to visit Kanu, sparking concerns over his legal rights and welfare. Today’s development comes amid sustained calls for his release and a fair judicial process.
