Drama As Kano Lawmaker Returns To APC After Few Days In NNPP

The member representing Bagwai/Shanono Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Ali Ibrahim Isah Shanono, has returned to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) few days after defecting to the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP).

Daily Trust reports that 14 House of Assembly members in Kano defected to the NNPP from the People Democratic Party (PDP) and the APC.

Shanono, a member of APC, also defected to the NNPP, but later dumped the new party for APC.

In a letter he sent to the house, the member deactivated his membership of NNPP and rejoined APC.

Hon Isah Shanono pledged to work round the clock for the success of the APC party at the forthcoming polls.

The political calculation of Kano is changing ahead of the of 2023 elections.

Senator Ibrahim Shekarau dumped APC for the NNPP on Wednesday. Many aggrieved APC chieftains have also joined the fast growing party.
