Drama As Pharmaceutical Boss Collapses During Trump’s Live Press Conference (Video)

A White House press conference on Thursday ended abruptly after a pharmaceutical executive collapsed mid-event during President Donald Trump’s announcement on drug pricing reforms.

The incident occurred about 45 minutes into the briefing at the Oval Office, where President Trump was unveiling a new pricing deal on anti-obesity medications. Eyewitnesses identified the individual who fainted as Gordon Findlay, a senior executive of Novo Nordisk, the global pharmaceutical firm behind popular weight-loss drugs.

The dramatic moment unfolded as Dave Ricks, CEO of Eli Lilly and Company, took the podium to discuss his company’s “investment in America.” Ricks was moments into his remarks when commotion erupted to his right.

“Are you okay, Gordon?” Ricks asked, turning toward Findlay, who appeared to lose balance before collapsing to the floor.

Security and medical personnel swiftly attended to the executive as President Trump and other officials looked on. Reporters and cameras were immediately ushered out of the room, bringing the live broadcast to an unexpected halt.

The White House has not yet released an official statement on Findlay’s condition or whether the press conference will be reconvened.

The event, which was meant to highlight new agreements aimed at reducing the cost of popular fat-loss drugs, instead ended in confusion and concern among attendees.
