Dr. Ogunji Served Our State Meritoriously, Loyal Party Man — Abia Speaker

Tributes have continued to pour in following the death Abia State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Solomon Ogunji late Saturday night.

The latest came from the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji who described the late Commissioner as his friend.

While stating that he received the news of Dr. Ogunji’s death with shock, the Speaker described him as a loyal party man who has served the state meritoriously in various capacities.

While praying God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss, he said the state will miss the late Commissioner.

It was with shock that we received the sad news of the demise of my good friend and the Honorable Commissioner for Environment in Abia State, Dr Solomon Ogunji, who passed on after a brief illness at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba, on Saturday, 23rd May, 2020.

“Dr Ogunji served our dear state meritoriously in various capacities and was a loyal party man who was also close to me and my family. We will surely miss him even as we pray for his family and the loved ones he left behind to be granted the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
