In recognition of his peace initiatives in Nigeria, Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, has conferred on Abia born philanthropist, Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu with the Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership award.
The award comes weeks after he was presented with award of excellence on Peace Matters by the Peace Legend.
At a brief ceremony which took place at The Signatures in Eko hotel, Lagos the executives of Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, led by its President Dr Abubakar Isah said they chose Igbokwe out of many personalities because of his pan Nigerian outlook, exemplary leadership qualities and his impactful empowerment and mentoring of youths across the country.
They say he does these irrespective of ethnicity, cultural and religious background.
Don Lulu in his response expressed gratitude to the group for finding him worthy of the honour.
He further pledged to renew his vigor in the pursuit of progress, justice and equity across the country, especially among the youths.
He said it was encouraging to find fellow young people from the North striving for cohesion and peaceful coexistence among the diverse people of the country.
