Senator representing Abia North, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu has said the ongoing distribution of educational materials to pupils in public schools around the constituency is an effort to secure the future of the state and nation at large, ABN TV reports.
Sen. Kalu who is the Chief Whip of Nigerian Senate was at Methodist College Uzuakoli, to commence the distribution of the materials in Bende local government area of the state on Tuesday.
Represented by his legislative Aides Barr Victor Etie and Barr Mbila Uma Uya, said he believes that the educational materials will help in securing in securing the future of state and nation.
He said in doing that, it begins with securing the future of the children,
Speaking further, the former Abia governor noted that every child deserves the right to quality Education, adding that the distribution of the materials is a way of contributing his quota towards achieving that dream.
He recalled that as Governor of Abia State, he equally gave free Education to Abia children at all levels
In his remark Mr. Ekwuribe Uchechukwu, the Vice principal Academics who represented the principal Very Rev Mba, thanked the Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, describing him as God sent to humanity and Abia North.
He prayed for God’s guidance and protection upon the senator.
In his words the Educational materials given to the students will go a long way in providing a spring board for easy learning and will definitely encourage the students.
The exercise which has earlier taken place in Ohafia and Isuikwuato local governments will go round all the local governments in the Senatorial District.
