Diaspora Group Seeks Support For Tinubu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu

A political group, Think BAT ’23, rooting for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 general election, has lauded Nigerians for the growing support being given daily to the former Lagos State governor’s presidential bid.

Think BAT ’23 Diaspora Coordinator, Malaysia Chapter, Oluwatoyin Ajewole, who noted that Tinubu would replicate the Lagos Development Agenda in Nigeria, said Nigerians in the diaspora would mobilise for his victory to realise the lofty agenda.

Ajewole, according to a statement made available in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, titled ‘2023: Tinubu’ll replicate Lagos development plans across Nigeria – Group’, spoke in Lagos during the second national convention of the group, where he also canvassed aggressive mobilisation for Permanent Voter Cards registration among Nigerians for huge votes to Tinubu.

The coordinator, who said that Tinubu’s victory was necessary to ensure that the country was prosperous and stayed afloat, described the APC flag bearer as a symbol of transformation, hence the need to support him to achieve his vision and mission of a prosperous nation for Nigerians.

He said, “Asiwaju Tinubu’s generosity and forthrightness coupled with his exposure and business acumen will ensure the needed development for all Nigerians within the shortest period.”

Think BAT ’23 National Convener, Prince Oluwakemi Otitoloju, described Tinubu as “a great builder, hence the need for all to take our destiny in our hands to ensure the success of the APC national leader in the presidential election.”

Otitoloju, who said Tinubu’s candidacy was a decision on who could govern the country to ensure rapid transformation whereby everyone would be happy and live better life where prosperity would abound, called on Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to join hands together with the APC candidate.

Responding, the Iyaloja-General of Lagos, Chief Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, who lauded the group for its support, said that her father, as an experienced, knowledgeable and competent leader, was poised to actualise development across the country at all times.

Tinubu-Ojo said, “With Tinubu as president, Nigeria will become the true giant of Africa where unemployment, insecurity, and abject poverty among other ills will become a thing of the past.”
