Despite Electoral Loss, Mascot Kalu Donates N2m To APC, Takes Backseat

The candidate of APC in the recently concluded Aba North/South Federal Constituency bye-election election, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu has made a donation of N2million to his party despite losing the election.

He announced that donation on Tuesday when he hosted his supporters, APC family, Reality Organization, MUK, and OUK movement at his residence to thank them for their overwhelming support and love before, during, and after election.

While declaring that he will take the backseat and allow others to fly the flag of the party come 2023 in the constituency, he urged his supporters to see the election as bygone and fight to build a stronger APC in the constituency.

This meeting was called to specially appreciate you all for your Steadfastness, dedication, and genuine love throughout the campaign and election proper.

“Please Nobody should grumble for any reason as tomorrow holds great things for us all.

He thanked God for protecting APC family and all that worked for the success of the party even in the midst of the thuggery and election violence that the opposition PDP allegedly deployed.

Remember while the opposition wanted the election at all cost, we chose life over bloodshed and therefore won lives and lost poll, no election is worth the life of anybody”.

He pointed out that in the spirit of sportsmanship and his love for NDI ABA he has congratulated Chimaobi Ebisike and that he will not go to court, so as not to give the declared winner a reason not to provide good representation to the good people of Aba and I will always support any plan that will benefit Ndi Aba.

He also added, “After a self-evaluation, I have decided I will take a back seat to allow others to lead come 2023 but what I will not support is someone coming few months to election to contest, if you are Interested to come now and join hands to build our dear party.

Engr. Mike Ozoemena, Chief George Nnanna Kalu, Dr. Iyke Okolo, Eze Egege, Mrs. Ngozi Orji and others who spoke thanked Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu for being such an exceptional leader and pray that his good intentions for the people of Aba and Abia, in general, will come to reality soonest.
