The Deputy Speaker visited the 144 Battalion Headquarters in Asa to condole with widows of soldiers killed in the Obikabia incident on May 30th, 2024.
He pledged to establish a Peace Fund to support victims of insecurity in the South East region, launching it with a personal donation of 10 million naira.
The Peace Fund, under the Peace In South East Project (PISE-P), aims to assist those affected by insecurity. Donations are pouring in from across the country. Members of PISE-P are encouraged to contribute and spread the word.
