Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has felicitated the Muslims world over on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud which marks the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Kalu in a statement urged Muslims to imbibe the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, calling on them to showcase deep spiritual virtues of love, patience, tolerance and perseverance.
The Deputy Speaker also urged fervent prayers for the continued unity and progress of the country, assuring that the federal government under the able hand of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working assiduously to better the lot of the citizenry.
Kalu called on the people not to despair in the face of fleeting economic challenges, stressing that the House of Representatives under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen is committed to supporting the federal government’s programmes and policies by enacting appropriate legislation that will improve the economy and the living conditions of Nigerians.
