Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has congratulated a Nigerian-American military officer, Kelechi Ndukwe on his promotion to the rank of Navy Captain in the United States Navy.
Ndukwe, the first Nigerian-American to command a US war ship is a native of Item in Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State which the Deputy Speaker represents at the National Assembly.
Kalu in a statement commended Navy Captain Ndukwe for his resilience and consistency.
He said that Ndukwe has made his home town, Item, Abia State and Nigeria proud with his commitment and dedication to duty as well as his remarkable achievements so far.
The Deputy Speaker wishes Ndukwe continued success as he reaches new heights in his distinguished career.
