Deputy Speaker Kalu Celebrates SEDC Board Chair Designate, Wogu At 60

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has congratulated former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu, on his 60th birthday, praising his dedication to public service and national development.

In a statement released on Monday, Kalu described Chief Wogu’s milestone as a testament to his perseverance, patriotism, and remarkable contributions to Nigeria. He highlighted Wogu’s distinguished career, which spans his tenure as a lawyer, former local government chairman, two-time representative of Abia State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, and minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Kalu further commended Wogu’s recent appointment as the Board Chairman of the newly established South East Development Commission (SEDC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to him, the appointment reaffirms Wogu’s leadership qualities and commitment to regional development.
